BOARD OF DIRECTORS
KFN Enterprises LP is governed by a board of directors, who are chosen by the shareholders. The current directors are:
Otis Jasper is currently an active member of the KFNE Board of Directors and has been since 2016. Otis is a Sto:lo citizen from the communities of Soowahlie and Cheam. Prior to joining the KFNE Board, he had served 10 years as a Chief and Councilor for his home community of Soowahlie. Since Otis’s tenure as a Chief he received his Masters of Business Administration degree with a focus on Aboriginal Business and Leadership from Simon Fraser University.
Otis has served as the Title and Rights manager for the Sto:lo Tribal Council, Manager of Strategic Engagement for the Castlemain Group, Executive Director for the Tselkweyexw Tribe Management Limited and he is currently the Director of Operations for the Stk’emlupsemc te Secwepemc Nation.
Over time with Otis’s combined work experience, education and political involvement, his focus is to work towards finding the balance between seizing economic and business opportunities with maintaining a commitment to social and political responsibilities for Indigenous communities and nations.
Diana Hamilton joined the Kwikwetlem First Nation team in 2016 to implement the function of Human Resources Management across the Kwikwetlem First Nation, KFN Enterprises and Saskay Land Development. Diana is passionate about Human Resources and brings 10 years of experience and knowledge with her. She has the ability to analyze, implement and streamline Human Resources to meet the strategic objectives of the organization and to create an amazing place for employees and managers to work.
Diana has a very entrepreneurial approach to work; she started her Human Resources career in the high-tech sector and was as an active member of the HR Tech Group. She worked her way up the ladder in Human Resources, at the same time, attended post-secondary education where she earned her designation as a Payroll Compliance Practitioner through the Canadian Payroll Association. Diana also received her Certificate of General Business Management and Certificate of Human Resources Management from SFU in 2011 and 2015 respectively.
Moira joined the KFN Enterprises team in 2018 to lead and assist in developing the finance team, with the goal to support the strategic objectives of the organization. Moira is a Chartered Professional Accountant with 25 years of progressive experience obtained through industry, public practice and not for profit organizations. She obtained her Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from Laurentian University in 2015 and is currently pursuing her Master of Business Administration degree. In 2018, she obtained the CFO Program Certificate (CFO’s Operational Skills Program and CFO’s Leadership Program) and the Strategic Management Program Certificate from the Chartered Professional Accountants of BC.
Julian Dobson is a project manager for KFN Enterprises LP and oversees all our joint venture projects, where he assists with estimating, bid review, job set and project coordination. Prior to moving into this position, Julian was a superintendent for seven years working for Saskay Land Development LP at the Kwikwetlem Business Park. His duties included overseeing field operations, managing inbound materials, placement and preloading, as well working with geotechnical and environmental consultants.
Before coming to Saskay Land Development, Julian was a facilities operations manager for 16 years, where he was responsible for overseeing daily fill operations and environmental treatment facilities across BC. Along with his leadership and coordination skills, he holds several equipment operating certificates, knowledgeable in set up and operations of water treatment systems, grading, health and safety programs and staffing.
Jill Stauber joined the KFN Enterprises team in 2017 as the Executive Assistant to the KFN Enterprises executive team. Jill assists in all administrative and office functions, scheduling and coordination, as well as being the point of contact. Jill brings with her nearly 20 years of administrative knowledge and experience. For the past seven years Jill worked with Seabird Island Band in Agassiz, BC in the employment and training department where she was part of a team tasked to fulfill proposal mandates. During this period, she was also able to connect with the community and educate herself in the functions of First Nation’s tradition and culture. Prior to Seabird Island, Jill worked within the strata management field, managing a portfolio of up to 18 strata complexes, where she balanced administrative, financial and policy management for the stakeholders. Jill holds diplomas and certificates in employment counselling, facilitation and strata management. She also completed an Administration Diploma in 1995 while residing in Calgary, AB. Jill is currently enrolled in the Project Management program at BCIT
